Tribal Council is working on a tribal truancy code for the upcoming school year. This aligns with the district’s attendance policy change. At the meeting, school administration asked for support of this policy; as attendance in school is key to academic success!

The Ignacio School District School Board hosted Tribal Council Tuesday, Aug. 2 for a quarterly meeting to discuss academic achievement of tribal students in the district. Also, on the agenda included summer collaboration and enrichment, Strategic Plan update, and Superintendent’s Report on the four-day school week and activity Fridays.
