Southern Ute Veterans Association members, Gordon Hammond (U.S. Marines) and Rudley Weaver (U.S. Navy) carry the Southern Ute Tribal flag and the American Flag at the Ira H. Hayes Veterans Social Powwow held, February 21 - 22 in Sacaton, Ariz. The powwow commemorated the 75th anniversary of the flag raising in Iwo Jima, Japan during World War II.
