Richter is new Road Runner Transit director

Southern Ute Community Action Programs, Inc. (SUCAP) and Road Runner Transportation (RRT) announce that Clayton Richter, RRT Division Director, has recently been certified by the Community Transportation Association of America as a Certified Community Transit Manager.

CCTM status marks the greatest performance and highest efficiency in the community transportation industry; it is proof of the ability to manage a comprehensive and dynamic community transportation system. Those who receive the certification are recognized for specific skills they have acquired through experience, education and professional development, and the results of a written examination. The program evaluates Transit Managers in the areas of human resources, finance, operations, and development of transit programs. This program is the first of its kind in the community transit industry and takes a giant leap forward in recognizing professionalism of its members.

Richter’s name, certification status, and pertinent data will be included in a “Register of Certified Community Transit Managers,” publication, available upon request from CTAA to those seeking professionals in the transit industry.

The Community Transportation Association of America is a national professional membership association of more than 4,500 organizations and individuals committed to removing barriers to isolation and to improving mobility for all people. Since 1988, CTAA has pioneered training and certification programs that have enabled community transportation systems to grow and develop.

Richter oversees all of Road Runner Transportation operations, including travel between Ignacio and Durango, Bayfield and Durango, and Ignacio and Aztec, N.M., Dial-A-Ride service in and around Ignacio, and intercity bus service between Durango and Grand Junction.
