The Golden High School students visited the Southern Ute Tribe during their annual Senior Seminar trip, Wednesday, April 6. This group has visited the Tribe each year since 2012, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this year’s one-day visit, students met with tribal departments to learn about the Southern Ute Tribe. They met with staff members of the Wildlife Dept., Cultural Preservation Dept., Southern Ute Drum and Tribal Council. They also toured the Southern Ute Museum and finished the day with a tour of SunUte, followed by a swim.
